AWOL or MIA?

Last seen lost under a mountain of crochet squares and flying tail ends......

Just thought I should explain my absence both here and at yours. All is well in the nest, my happy bubble has not burst although I am a little discombobulated at present. I made a pact with myself that I would not spend so much time on t'internet till Mini's blanket is completed. I'm too stubborn to break my pact with my self. Fool. Wally. Prat. Plonker etc...

  2. I know the feeling - I was the same with my springtime throw. Painful at the time, but I tell you what, it feels great to have finished it - stick with it girl!
I made the elderflower cakes - they were amazing - thanks again for that. Had some of the mascarpone topping left over too, so had that with strawbs - was really good (will be remembering that for future ref).
Thanks too for the card - Mr N was last seen on a train to Bristol with his binoculars. Ho ho ho! Joke
Enjoy sewing in all those ends...

  4. I too know the feeling... I HAVE to finish my hexagon blanket. But I just get so distracted by other people blogs and my own, that it just ends up being that 'come back to in between other projects' project! I'm not stubborn enough, and just don't have the patience..!
I'm always telling myself that I spend too much time on the internet. Especially in the evenings when I really should be spending time with the hubby! haha.. but that's the only big chunk of time I seem to get, when Rose is down for the night!

Other describing words could be" "committed", "motivated", "finisher"!

  7. I would say you are MIA. Sounds very industrious and ball-breaking. AWOL always sounds a bit pansy-ish to me... like you lost your balls (so to speak) and just disappeared.

Lots of talk about balls in this small comment. Soz.

  12. seemingly I know all the moves! Nelly asked me how (the f#%k) I knew them and I told her they were just 'in me'!
Loving the idea of a tribute band - not sure Destiny's Child plays to our strengths?

  15. Keep going, get those squares joined and ends sewn in (BTW, do you sew ends in before joining squares or after?) and I'm looking forward to seeing the end result. The squares look fab just on their own, even before they are sewn together. Get to it!! xx

  16. Looking very lovely, Cuckoo. It seems everyone is busy/otherwised engaged at the moment....that is good. It means we are enjoying summer instead of being glued to the pc! xxx

  18. Is that a little wing I see waving through the squares? Looking good Mrs C, my blanket is almost to the point of doing the border, so excited. AND I am being sooo good, weaving in my ends as I go, because I know me too well.....that would really s--t me to have to do them at the end:)

I L♡VE your comments. Thank you ever so for taking the time. I do try to get back to everyone but I am rather scatty and I have these 3 big distractions....(and I'm just generally a bit rubbish lately, so please don't feel obliged to leave a note) Sorry about the word verification too, too much spam.
