A garlic garland...

....would complete this look!

I took the scissors to a top that had an unflattering neckline and now I love it and am itching to do some more slashing but I haven't anymore tops that need slashing. Think a charity shop trip is in order.

  1. Love your top and the huggggee gorgeous flower too! looks lovely.

I just read your last post too, blogger has been a pain recently and missed this one. What a lovely spread and pretty tea set. Hope your little mini cuckoo has settled a bit for you now. And what a sweet e-mail from your step dad. I love crochet bobbles too and love your last project.

Hope you had a great birthday!

  2. I do this! Ha! I look bloody awful in crew necks so quite often slash the neck.

Am loving these colours at the mo; in fact I'm about to do a blog on my current obsession with the colour red. It looks gorgeous with navy and white - I really love it with pale pink too.

Any baking lately? Am trying not to because of WW but feel thoroughly fed up about it. Got the urge to bake this weekend and had to just fob self off with buying a new whisk. Grrr... 11lb to go....

  3. Hi,

Love the way you customised your t-shirt! My daughter does it the same way! I am to much of a chicken to do it myself.

Your pink tea party looked great!!!! That lovely pie, those pink heart, the macaroons, it all looks great! And that sweet email from your father in law. He is a sweetheart!

Have a lovely new week. I will be off to your country next week for a couple of days. See if I can find that Macaroon mix in the supermarket!

    Lieve groet, Madelief

  4. Is that top from MintVelvet? I think I've got the un-slashed version of it!

  5. So weird, I have several slashed neck stripey tops! One I bought like that from Cabbages and Roses. I loved it so much it inspired me to do the others like that! Loving the rose too!!!

  6. Just gorgeous! Clever girl and I love the corsage!!! Can I bring a ripped offering when we meet up on Friday? My favourite thin cotton dress/top has ripped and I wondered whether I could leave it in your capable hands and see if you could salvage it. I love it so much and am NOT going to rip it up and throw it away, like I did the skirt, if you think you could fix it...
Also, with your experience, if a pair of jeans have ripped right across, under the arse, is it fixable or not. Someone else reckons not .....

I do try to get back to everyone but I am rather scatty and I have these 3 big distractions....(and I'm just generally a bit rubbish lately, so please don't feel obliged to leave a note) Sorry about the word verification too, too much spam.
